Trouble Shooting
CCC Installation
1. Whenever anything is loaded from the i386 directory on a Windows NT4
installation CD, re-installation of NT4 Service Pack 6a is
NECESSARY
.
2. On the Server PC, ensure that the user guest account is enabled. Also, ensure
that the C drive is shared with the name ‘C’. Shares must have full permissions
(see pages 15 and 21 for NT or Win2000 Server respectively).
3. If, for whatever reason, the Server PC has to be renamed,
do not
use spaces in
the new name (Microsoft SQL cannot be guaranteed to operate correctly). For
further information on renaming the Server PC see either pages 16 (Windows NT)
or 23 (Windows 200/XP).
4. When shutting down a Server PC, ensure that
all
CCC applications of closed
before shutting down.
5. When re-booting as Server PC with CCC installed, if, on the Archiver screen the
message
No delta server connection
appears, then click on the Archiver screen
and select
Setup
and then
Change Delta Server.
If the required Server name appears, highlight it and click
Connect
. Alternatively,
click
Search
and when required Server name is found, click
Connect
.
(see pages 16 and 23 for NT or Win2000 Server names respectively).
6. When re-booting, if a Delta Server Port access is denied message appears, (port
number conflict), consult with your Network Administrator to obtain a free port
number.
