Message Item
Description
The syntax of the BID is as follows:

last 6 characters in MAC>:<number of times device has reset>]
For example:

Where:

2ed1c8
is the device's MAC address.
■
96
is the number of times the device has reset.
Message Body
Describes the message.
Timestamp
When the Network Time Protocol (NTP) is enabled, a timestamp string
[hour:minutes:seconds] is added to all Syslog messages.
Event Representation in Syslog Messages
The Syslog message events that the device sends are denoted by unique abbreviations. The
following example shows an abbreviated event in a Syslog message indicating packet loss (PL):
Apr 4 12:00:12 172.30.1.14 PL:5 [Code:3a002] [CID:3294] [Time: 20:17:00]
