resumes control over only the Attaché DDR system. Therefore,
had the button been set to VTR prior to toggling OFF the
button, the button reverts to the DDR setting when the
button is turned OFF. When the button is turned OFF, the
two LEDs for the status of the button are also both OFF.
This button is used only in conjunction with the Auto Edit
function, and therefore is active only if is turned ON. Refer to
the description of Auto Edit (above) for further information.
The button determines which device (Attaché DDR or the
external VTR) becomes the recorder and which becomes the player
for an Auto Edit event. When the button is toggled to
illuminate the associated VTR symbol, the external VTR is set as
the recording device, with the Attaché DDR as the player. When
the button is toggled to illuminate the associated DDR
symbol, the Attaché DDR is the recording device, with the external
VTR as the player.
This button is used only in conjunction with the Auto Edit
function. The button is active only if the button is turned
ON. Refer to the description of Auto Edit (above) for further
information.
While the button is active, it determines which device is
currently under the direct control of the Attaché hardware control
panel. When the associated DDR symbol is selected with the
button, the Attaché control panel directly commands the Attaché
DDR. When the associated VTR symbol is illuminated, the
Attaché main chassis passes the commands from the Attaché
control panel and through to the external VTR connected to the
“Master” RS422 serial control port on the rear of the Attaché main
