The Freeze/Bypass value indicates when the Freeze or Bypass function is
enabled. Refer to section 2.5.2 for instructions on selecting these output
functions.

Directly to the right of the Transport Status, the current disk play speed is
indicated. All speeds, including forward play, reverse play, shuttle, and Var
Play (variable play) speeds are shown with a maximum resolution of 1/1000
of normal play speed (0.001). The Transport Speed indicator also shows the
value for the Var Play function, just after pressing the button, and
before the or buttons are pressed. This value lets you know what
speed the disk is about to play at when the or button is pressed. Table
2-1 provides several examples of different play speed values:

The full range of playback speeds on the Attaché is from -99.999 reverse to
+99.999 forward when entering speeds numerically on the numeric keypad.
When using the rotary knob to set the play speed, the range is from –3.000 to
+3.000 times normal play speed.

The IN and OUT values display the points which video playback is restricted
during Loop and Ping Pong play repeat operations. The values shown may
be in either timecode notation (00.00.00.00) or in frame notation (000000)
while the Normal Play mode is active, or in Segment ID notation (Seg1)
while the Segment Play mode is active. Refer to Section 4.2 for instructions
on changing the display between timecode and frames.
