F4 Test Pattern
The Attaché provides a set of test patterns that are written to the video output frame
buffer. You may select these patterns to use as a reference signal at the video
outputs, or to transfer to your workstation as a reference signal. You may select the
test patterns without changing any of the other setup parameters.
1. To send a full-screen test pattern to all available video outputs:

Since it takes a very long time to
draw, the “Random” pattern is
skipped over when toggling the
softkey by itself to
select test patterns. To select the
“Random” pattern, type 4 on the
numeric keypad, and then press the
softkey.
The right-hand column displays the current pattern. Test patterns are frozen
automatically and can be recorded on disk in the normal way. To clear a pattern,
play another pattern, or unfreeze the picture by pressing .
Two sets of test patterns are supplied. One for 8-bit operation and another for
10-bit operation, depending upon the recording format selected.

F6 TV Std/Format
This parameter determines the operating Video Line Standard of the entire Attaché
system

for both playback and recording purposes. The possible choices are 625
(PAL) or 525 (NTSC). Each of these two line standards also has an video format
selection of either 8-bit or 10-bit resolution.

Use caution before changing standards. When the standard is changed,
segment play lists and other parameters will change their relationships to
the pictures, rendering the play list unusable.
