Use the following procedures to setup the editor communications ports.

F1 Editor Port #1

This parameter toggles the RS422 serial communications Port#1 ON or OFF (this
port typically connects to an external editing system).

To change the port enable:

Press

Editor Port#1

Toggle between the two following choices:

Enables the RS422 communications on Editor Port #1.

OFF

Disables the RS422 communications on Editor Port #1.

The default value is ON.

F2 Protocol

This parameter toggles the protocol setting of the RS422 serial communications
Port#1 (this port typically connects to an external editing system).

To change the port protocol:

Protocol

Toggle between the two following RS422 protocol choices:

SMPTE

Selects the SMPTE protocol for purposes of
communicating via RS422 on editor port #1.

Sony

Selects the Sony protocol for purposes of
communicating via RS422 on editor port #1.

The default value is Sony.

Toggling the protocol turns the RS-442 Editor port OFF.
