In the Macros Menu, the first seven lines list functions that deal with macro
recording, playback, and editing:

F1 Select Macro
Press (
Select Macro
) after typing a value into the numeric keypad to
select the specified macro sequence. When recording or playing back a macro,
the softkey label changes to
Stop Macro
. While in this state, pressing
again stops the macro recording or running.

The STOP button on the Attaché control panel also halts a macro while
it’s “running”.

F2 Record Macro
Press (
Record Macro
) to record or “learn” the selected macro
sequence. Press
with a numeric entry in the numeric keypad to select a
new macro and immediately start recording into the new macro sequence. The
selected number is displayed in the right-hand column. During the macro record
process, the Record Macro label blanks and the system memorizes most
keystrokes made on the Attaché control panel.

F3 Play Macro
Press
(
Play Macro
) to run (execute) the macro sequence which is
currently loaded into the active macro workspace. Press
after making a
numeric entry to recall a desired macro from memory and immediately run the
specified macro sequence (macro 1 through 9).

F4 Previous
Press
(
Previous
) to step backward one keystroke in the macro. The
bottom status line indicates the step and the keystroke name. Use this function for
macro editing. This function is blanked until a macro is created.

F5 Next
Press (
Next
) to step forward one keystroke in the current macro. The
bottom status line indicates the step and the keystroke name. Use this function for
macro editing. It is possible to position one step past the end of the macro.
