08 OPERATION

One control panel can be connected to several drives simultaneously using
the panel network feature. The user can also select the drive to operate in
the panel network. The PC tool can be easily connected to the drive
through the USB connector on the control panel.

8.5.1

Control panels for drives with an ARU

Fig. 8-3 shows the control panel configurations are present in drives with
an ARU (Fig. 8-3). The master control unit (COU1) has 2 control panels, one
for the ARU and one to parameterize the INU to control motor 1. Additional
motors are controlled by single control panels on slave COUs 2 - 5.
The control panels for the ARU and motor 1 are on the door of control unit
COU1 (A in Fig. 8-3). The location of additional control panels depends on
the configuration of the drive (B in Fig. 8-3).
