W1F (Temporary Master to ZT 8911)

When the ZT 8905 is used in a STAR SYSTEM that has the ZT 8911 as the Permanent Master,
jumper W1F must be installed. W1F controls the backplane environment to let the ZT 8911 perform
system translation cycles between the ZT 8905 and SA/EA peripherals. See the "Multiple Master
System Requirements" section in Chapter 3 for more information on operating the ZT 8905 in a
multiple master architecture.

CUTTABLE TRACE OPTIONS AND LOCATIONS

The ZT 8905 supports the option of assigning up to two additional DMA channels for frontplane
operation with the addition or removal of two 0 ohm surface mount resistors, CT1 and CT2. These
are factory-installed options only.

A "Cuttable Trace Locations" figure and a detailed description of CT1 and CT2 are provided on the
following page. A dagger (†) indicates the default configuration.
