Slingers should have the following -----
conditions:
a. have the corresponding educational ----
level;
b. over 18 years old;
c. qualified to this job in personal aspects
of vision, hearing and reaction capacity;
d. have physical strength for moving the
lifting appliance and components;
e. have abilities of lifting Wuping quality
estimation, load balance, and the distance,
height and clearance judgments;
f. received lifting technology training;
g. have abilities of choosing appropriate
lifting appliance and components according to
the object conditions;
h. received the crane operation command
signal training, understand and pro
fi
ciently use
the crane operation command signal;
i. when requiring the use of auditory
e q u i p m e n t ( s u c h a s w a l k i e - t a l k i e ) , c a n
pro
fi
ciently use the device and issue accurate and
clear oral command;
j. familiar with the crane performance and
parameters, and have abilities of commanding a
crane and moving the load safely;
k. have the quali
fi
cation of undertaking the
work project.
3-2-4 Command personnel
1. Duties
The command personnel should have the
responsibility of passing signals from slingers
to the driver. The command personnel instead
of slingers can command the crane machine
and the load moving, but at any time only one
person is responsible for.
In the crane mechanical work, if duties of
commanding the crane machine safety operation
and the load are taken over by the other relevant
personnel, the command personnel should explain
the situation to the driver. Moreover, the driver and
the taken-over person shall clear the respective
duty of their own.
2. Basic requirements
The command personnel should have the
following conditions:
a. have the corresponding educational
level;
b. over 18 years old;
c. qualified to this job in personal aspects
of vision, hearing and reaction capacity;
d. have the judgment abilities of the
distance, height and clearance;
e. received the crane operation command
signal training, understand and pro
fi
ciently use
the crane operation command signal;
f. when requiring the use of auditory
e q u i p m e n t ( s u c h a s w a l k i e - t a l k i e ) , c a n
pro
fi
ciently use the device and issue accurate and
clear oral command;
g. familiar with the crane performance and
parameters, and have abilities of commanding a
crane and moving the load safely;
h. have the quali
fi
cation of undertaking the
work project.
Basic safety instructions
command personnel must transmit signal to the
driver and visual or auditory signals are both
OK.
During the crane machine work, if the
responsibilities of commanding the crane
machine and moving load are taken over
to other relevant personnel, slingers should
explain the situation to the driver. Moreover, the
driver and the taken-over person shall clear the
respective duty of their own.
