9-6-5 Crossing and winding of steer wire rope precautions

2. In the operation process one should make the steel wire rope to keep certain tension. When the
hook is lowered to the ground and the steel wire rope has no longer load, one should not do the winding
lifting operation again, otherwise that easily leads to the rope disorder.
3. When crossing and winding new steel wire rope wear onto the winding drum, care should be
taken not to make it twist, because the steel wire rope twisting may generate conditions of looping,
kinking or bending in the rope.
4. After winding the new steel wire rope, one should carry out some operations to the crane with
approximately 10% of rated load.
5. Steel wire rope inspection and scrap is executed according to GB/T 5972 "crane steel wire rope
maintenance, installation, inspection and scrap".
