The speed offset (J1939) works in combination
with input sources (increase/decrease speed).
The input sources can be configured to discrete
inputs in order to adjust the speed of the
engine. With an additional parameter the speed
variation can be adjusted (Inc. / Dec. step 1 to
20 rpm) but the overall offset is limited to ±10
% from rated speed.
The speed offset is active as long as the engine
is in operation and is automatically reset to
zero if the engine stops.
