3.4.3 Control Elements for Initiating the Drive for the Attachment and their Use
The drive clutch for the attachments is engaged by the clutch lever on the right handle (
2
on
Fig. 6
on page
). The lever is fitted with
the safety lock against sudden unwanted initiation of the drive (
6
on
Fig. 6
on page
).
3.4.3.1 Attachment Drive Clutch Engagement
A new machine, or a clutch after replacement of the clutch plate, requires certain time for the clutch lining to run in. Over this
run-in period the engagement of the clutch may be accompanied by a smell (and even possibly by the smoke for a moment) that
is typical for thermally stressed the clutch or brake lining. Due to the used type of lining, this phenomenon is not the reason for
the complaint.
Place the end of the right hand palm onto the edge of the control lever
2
, fingers should be lying on the functional area of the lever
and should be directed to the right.
Press the safety lock button
6
with the thumb.
By applying pressure with the palm, start to tilt the lever
2
towards the handle.
Engage the clutch by moving the lever as far as it is possible towards the handle. The speed with which the clutch gets engaged differs
from one attachment tool to another; therefore, comply with instructions for correctly engaging the clutch that are always included with
every attachment.
The lever must be always entirely pressed towards the handle; otherwise the clutch slip may occur.
The clutch slip that lasts longer or that occurs more often always causes heating of the clutch lining, which negatively
affects the service life of the clutch plate and the axial clutch bearing and which can be accompanied by a smell that is
typical for thermally stressed clutch or brake lining.
It is prohibited to remove the accumulated processed material that prevents the fast and smooth engagement of
the clutch by setting the tool in motion using the controlled clutch slip. First, you should empty the area of the
work tool and only after that continue working.
Whenever the clutch starts slipping, release the clutch control lever as fast as possible. Thus, you shall prevent
the clutch from being highly thermally stressed.
3.4.3.2 Attachment Drive Clutch Disengagement
Move your hand off the control lever
2
, the lever will automatically return to the default position, where it will be fixed secured by the
safety lock against unwanted and unexpected initiation of the drive
6
. The brake integrated within the clutch will brake the drive of the
attached tool. The time needed to brake the tool depends on the type of the adapter and on the wear of the brake.
Do not hold or slow down the lever during its movement back to the default position. Always release the lever
quickly so that no slippage of the clutch plate and brake occurs.
The slippage always causes heating of the clutch lining, which negatively affects the service life of the clutch plate and
the axial bearing of the clutch. At the same time, the brake is exposed to excessive thermal stress and gets worn more
quickly.
3.4.4 Control Elements of the Engine and their Use
3.4.4.1 Engine Revolutions Control Lever
The lever is placed on the cross-bar of the handlebars on the right side of the handlebars (

on page
). Positions

of the accelerator are shown on
Fig.
. All the main positions described are locked by a simple system
of protrusions and depressions in the lever body.
1
STOP
:
the engine is not running.
It is used to turn off the running engine,
to park the machine,
for refuelling,
for transporting the machine.
2
MIN
: “turtle” position
The engine runs at its idle speed.
Short work brake.
3
MAX
: “rabbit” position
The engine runs at its maximum
speed.
Working position.
Cold engine start.

3.4.4.2 Fuel system
3.4.4.2.1 Auxiliary Fuel Tank
The machine is equipped with the auxiliary fuel tank (
2
on
Fig.
), placed within the handlebars post. Its capacity is 4.5
litres. The fuel tank cap (
4
on
Fig.
on page
) is fitted with a thread (right) and with the bleeder.
The maximum height of the fuel level reaches the front edge of the lower part of the filling hole of the tank – marked by an arrow on
