The deviation as regards the position of the lever from the neutral position will never be large; in all cases turn the nuts
by ¼ of the turn at maximum.
3.5.7 Attachment Drive Clutch Adjustment
We recommend to let an authorized service centre do the activity for you.
The check and, if needed, the adjustment of the attachment tool drive clutch engagement moment should be performed
after the 5
initial hours
of operation and then after
every 50 hours of operation
. This service service action is also immediately necessary
whenever symptoms specified in the table occur.

elements
Solution
The start of the attached tool lasts
unusually long or the attachment
work tool slows down when
processing less material than
usually. It is possible to smell the
overheated clutch lining.
It is first necessary exclude the
influence of the overfull work
area, the damaged work tool
shafts mounting and other
components of the drive of the
attachment, or the loss of the
engine output.
The control lever exerts lowered
resistance when being shifted,
especially in the second half of
the motion.
Loose attachment drive clutch
Bowden cable.
Adjust the clutch lining clearance
by unscrewing the adjustment
screw on the attachment drive
clutch Bowden fitting.
The brake does not work, but the
attachment drive can be engaged
normally; it is possible to start the
engine easily.
-
-
Worn brake part of the clutch; it
is necessary to replace the clutch
housing or of the carrier plate of
the clutch.
The brake works, the work tool
keeps moving jerkily, it is possible
to smell the overheated clutch
lining, it is not possible to start the
engine after being turned off.
Broken return spring of clutch
control lever or broken clutch
plate; worn brake part of the
clutch or another defect of the
clutch.
Loose attachment drive clutch
Bowden cable.
It is possible to feel strong
resistance of the engine when
started and it is possible to hear
metal-rustling sounds; it is not
possible to restart the engine
again.
Abort the work immediately.
It is necessary to adjust the step
of the clutch lever.
An inspection of the machine in
an authorized service centre is
necessary.

3.5.7.1 Attachment Drive Clutch Adjustment Procedure
The adjustment is done unscrewing the adjustment bolt

of the attachment tool drive clutch Bowden on the back side of the upper
chassis – see
Fig. 11
on page
. Use 10 mm and 13 mm flat spanners.
For the purposes of testing the engagement and braking of the clutch, we recommend you to do the adjustment of the
clutch with the connected attachment with the active work tool.
1. Secure the machine against movement, e.g. by putting two suitable wood pieces to the both sides of the wheels (to the front and
behind the wheel). Switch the bypass lever to the manual travel position.
2. Secure the safety lock against the sudden unwanted initiation of the drive on the lever for engaging and disengaging the attachment
drive clutch in the pressed position. Use a plastic binding tape for the electric cables or a suitable highly adhesive tape.
3. Check whether the wire and the Bowden of the attachment drive clutch is without clearance. If it is not the case, adjust the clearance
of the wire and the Bowden so that there is no clearance.
4. Loosen the M6 nut with the 10 mm spanner
5
.
5. Hold the insert
6
in the frame
7
with the 13 mm spanner. Turn the adjustment screw
4
with the 10 mm spanner until the Bowden
has no clearance in the adjustment screw.
6. Tighten the M6 nut
5
.
7.
Move the attachment drive clutch initiation lever towards the handle until you feel that the resistance in the cable increased
significantly. That is the moment when clutch lining touched down onto the carrier plate of the clutch. Check that the distance between the
red lever and the black body of the lever is 8 mm – see
Fig. 12
on page
. If the distance is bigger or smaller, it is necessary to carry out
the adjustment.
8. Loosen the M6 nut with the 10 mm spanner
5
.
9. Hold the insert
6
in the frame
7
with the 13 mm spanner. Turn the adjustment bolt
4
using the 10 mm spanner until you achieve
the required distance. Use a suitable gauge or a calliper.
10. Tighten the M6 nut
5
.
11. Set the STOP position on the throttle lever (position
1
on
Fig.
). Test whether it is possible to turn the engine starter by
applying usual force on the starter handle and that, at the same time, no rustling metallic sounds are coming out.
12. If it is the case, it is necessary to screw adjustment screw
5
in and test the starter spin again.
13. If everything is all right, start the engine and set it to the maximum revolution rate.
14. Press the attachment drive clutch lever
5 times
. While doing that, check how quickly the clutch engages and that braking of the drive
of the respective attachments works reliably.
15. Turn off the engine and check the prescribed distance on the attachment drive clutch lever once more (see point
of this chapter. Test
that the motor starter spins easily.
