3.2 Operational Safety
The machine is designed so as to provide maximum protection for the operator. Do not remove any passive or active security features.
You would expose yourself to the risk of injury.
During work it is necessary to follow safety regulations to avoid any injury to yourself or other persons present nearby and to avoid any
property damage. In the operating instructions, these instructions are marked by the following warning symbol:
If you see this symbol in the operating instructions, carefully read the statement following after it!
This international safety symbol indicates important instructions concerning safety. When you see this symbol,
be cautious. There is a danger of accident to you or other individuals. Carefully read through the following
information.

3.2.1 Safety Regulations
The machine operator must be over 18 years of age. He is obliged to familiarize himself/herself with the instructions for the use
of the machine and to be familiar with the general principles of occupational safety.
During the work, use only approved personal protective equipment – safety glasses, hearing protection, tight clothes, firm shoes,
working gloves. Observe the safe distance from the machine given by the handle.
When working with the machine, all other people (
especially children
) and animals must stay outside the machine's work
area. The operator may only continue working after they reach a
safe
distance.
Always make sure that no part (especially the working mechanism or its cover) is damaged or loose
before using the
machine
.
Identified defects must be immediately eliminated.
Use only original spare parts during repairs.
It is not allowed to use the machine in confined premises! Exhaust gases contain toxic substances that can cause
unconsciousness and death.
When filling the tanks with fuel, do not use open fire and do not refuel in the confined non-ventilated premises – danger of
explosion of fuel vapours.
When filling the fuel, make sure that no leak occurs and that you do not spill the fuel over the engine parts. If it be to the
contrary, dry the affected parts or wait until the petrol evaporates.
Proceed with caution when changing attachments. When the engine is turned off, the exhaust silencer remains hot.
Whenever you start the engine, check that the travel speed control lever is in the “N” position. The positioning lock must be
engaged within the safety ring cut-out on the body of the control lever.
Before commencing work with any attachment, check the shut-off function of the clutch of the drive; the control lever is placed
on the right handle of the handlebars.
It is prohibited to work without properly installing the safety covers of the belt drives that propel the attachments.
Never adjust the position of the handlebars when the machine is moving! There is a risk of losing control of the machine, which
may lead to an injury to the operator or other persons, or to damage to property!
Engage the reverse speed only when the machine is fully stopped and with the travel clutch disengaged!
In the event that you change the gear during the movement of the machine, proceed with caution! The machine steered using
only one hand may change the course unexpectedly.
The service brake only serves to slower the machine for a short while, e.g. when going down the steeper slope. CAUTION – after
releasing the control lever, the machine starts travelling at the originally set speed!
Before starting reversing, especially when leading the machine on foot, make sure that there is enough space behind you to
safely manoeuvre the machine and that the surface is free of bumps that would adversely affect your stability.
The machine's
safe
slope accessibility is 10°. The maximum long-term tilt of the engine is 20° and short-term
Do not use your machine on wet surfaces. You must always move on safe terrain. While working, always walk. Do not ever run.
Be cautious especially when changing direction on slopes. Do not stand on heavily sloping slopes. Do not hold your machine if
you fall down - release it!

Short term = up to one minute.
