To determine if a test is a reverse color test, use the Result = A + B*(Abs) + C*(Abs)

equation. If the B value is negative, the test is a reverse color test.
Using the equation Y = mX + b, where m is the slope and b is the y intercept, substitute Y with
Result and X with (Abs): Results = b + m (Abs)
For a reverse color equation, the slope is negative and the absorbance (color) decreases as
concentration increases. For a standard equation, the slope is positive and absorbance (color)
increases as concentration increases.
How to Modify the Test Method Parameters
1.
Press the test key to access the Test Types menu.
2.
Press the ▲or ▼ key to highlight Water Analysis and press the enter key.
3.
Highlight and change the displayed test parameters, including the Wavelength value. If a
reverse color test is being programmed, the Reverse Color option must be set to On.
4.
Press the ▲or ▼ key to highlight More parameters… and press the enter key.
5.
Press the ▲or ▼ key to highlight the A, B, C or D factor, press the enter key, use the
numeric keypad to enter the factor value and press the enter key. Repeat for each required
equation factor.
6.
Save or run the test using the new test parameters.
