Changing the Vial Holder Carousel 

The Orion AquaMate 8000 and Orion AquaMate 7000 instruments have the three-position vial 
holder carousel preinstalled in the sample compartment. This carousel can be changed to use 
the six-position vial holder carousel or one-position vial holder carousel. 

Installing the Six-Position or One-Position Vial Holder Carousel  

1.

 

Open the sample compartment door and let it rest on its hinge.  

2.

 

Remove the preinstalled three-position vial holder carousel. Loosen the captive 
thumbscrew and pull straight up on the carousel to lift it out of the sample compartment. 

3.

 

With one hand, carefully lower the six-position or one-position carousel straight down into 
the sample compartment.  

 

 

 

 

4.

 

With the other hand, tighten the captive thumbscrew or thumbscrews. 

5.

 

Close the sample compartment door. 

Note: If the carousel is not aligned correctly, you will not be able to tighten the thumbscrews.
