Managing Stored Tests 

The instrument uses test method files that contain the parameters and settings needed to run 
the test, including those for the 

Sample Positioner Setting

. After setting the test parameters, 

assign a unique test name and save the test, to either the internal instrument memory or USB 
memory stick, so the test can be recalled and run without having to set the parameters again. 
The instrument can save approximately 90 tests to its internal memory. Tests saved to the 
internal memory will be maintained by battery backup when the instrument is powered off.  

To access the Test Types menu, press the test key on the instrument keypad. The list of all 
available test techniques will be shown. Use the following instructions as a general guide when 
setting up various test methods. 

 

 

Naming and Saving a Test  

When naming a test, enter the name using 8 to 16 alphanumeric characters. The selected test 
type will determine the maximum number of alphanumeric characters for the test name. The 
instrument will emit an audible beep when the maximum number of characters has been 
entered. When saving a test, it can be saved to an external memory device using the front USB 
port or saved to the instrument’s internal memory.
