Absorbance Difference  

The Absorbance Difference application measures the difference in absorption at two different 
wavelengths. Reference wavelength correction is available to eliminate the effects of a sample 
matrix. Typically used in quality control applications, an absorbance difference application 
provides a convenient and quick diagnostic test for sample quality. This section covers:

Recalling a Test  

 

Setting the Parameters for Absorbance Difference Method 

1.

 

Press the test key to access the Test Types menu.  

2.

 

Press the ▲or ▼ key to highlight Absorbance Difference and press the enter key. 

 

3.

 

Highlight and change the displayed test parameters, including Test Name, Wavelength 1, 
Wavelength 2, Factor 1, Factor 2, Units and Sample Positioner. See the 

Parameters

 

section for more information on the test parameter settings. 

 

4.

 

Press the Save Test function key and follow the onscreen prompts to save the test.
