Orion AquaMate Spectrophotometer User Manual

Thermo Scientific

Locking/Unlocking Tests using the Password

Use the password “4363797” to lock test parameters so they cannot be overwritten or deleted.
The password can also be removed to allow editing of the test parameters.

Note: The password cannot be changed. Tests stored on a USB memory stick cannot be
locked or unlocked.

1.

Press the utility key to access the Utility menu.

2.

Press the ▲or ▼key to highlight Stored Tests Directory and press the enter key.

3.

Press the ▲or ▼ key to highlight Load internal test and press the enter key.

4.

Press the ▲or ▼ key to highlight a test and press the Lock Unlock function key.

5.

Enter “4363797” as the password using the numeric keypad and press the enter key.

Deleting a Test

1.

Press the utility key to access the Utility menu.

2.

Press the ▲or ▼key to highlight Stored Tests Directory and press the enter key.

3.

Press the ▲or ▼ key to highlight Load internal test or Load test from USB drive as the
test location and press the enter key.

4.

Press the ▲or ▼ key to highlight a test and press the Delete Test function key.

Using the SmartStart Test Feature

The SmartStart feature lets you customize the instrument by placing the most frequently used
test methods on the first menu. Immediately after the instrument initializes, a simple menu
containing only the SmartStart tests appears.

•

If you select one test as a SmartStart test, when the instrument is powered on it will
automatically load this test for immediate measurement.

•

If you select more than one test as SmartStart tests, when the instrument is powered on it
will automatically display a menu containing only those tests.

Note: The default menu can always be accessed by pressing the test key.
