Z-Max Surveying System Operation and Applications Manual

Perform the following steps to reset parameters from the front panel:

1.If the display is in sleep mode (nothing is displayed) press any of the

buttons.

2. From the main menu press the up arrow button (

G

) until the submenu

SETTINGS is visible on the Display.

3. Press the Enter button (

) to enter the SETTINGS submenu.

4. Press the up arrow button (

G

) until the function RESET TO FACTORY

DEFAULTS is seen on the Display.

5. Press the Enter button (

) to initiate a parameter reset. The message

"Reset to factory defaults?" will be displayed.

6. Press the Enter button (

) to confirm the action. Parameters are now

reset to their default values.

7. Press the Cancel button (

K

) to return to the top level of the menu tree.

Congratulations! The Z-Max Surveying System should be tracking satellites and
recording satellite measurements into its internal SD card. It may not seem like much,
but tracking a signal no stronger than small light bulbs from 20,000 km in space and
calculating your position on the face of the Earth is impressive.Tracking satellites and
recording measurements is the first step in the process of learning about GPS and the
first step in learning how the Z-Max system can be used to dramatically improve the
efficiency and profitability of surveying work.
