Z-Max Surveying System Operation and Applications Manual

 

The Z-Max Surveying System is based on a modular mechanical design. Each 
module is designed to attach easily, quickly, and securely. In some configurations, the 
Z-Max system is completely cableless. Where cables are required, they are designed 
to be durable and easy to use. Survey setup is easy, and you only have to use the 
modules that you need. Modules are interchangeable, so different systems can be put 
together using the same core parts. Want to do a static survey? Attach the GPS 
Antenna Module and the Power  Module to the GPS Receiver Module and you're 
ready to thread the unit on to a tripod. Want to perform an RTK survey? Connect the 
Communication Module and you are ready for that too. The Z-Max system can be 
tripod mounted for base station setups or static surveys, and either backpack 
mounted or pole mounted for rover system RTK surveys. With its lightweight, durable, 
magnesium housing the rover system is light enough to be carried around all day. 
Battery issues won't slow you down either. The Z-Max Power Module containing 
Lithium Ion battery cells can power the receiver for over 13 hours. The Z-Max also 
includes the latest in wireless technology to eliminate cables when transferring data 
between devices. You can communicate with the receiver wirelessly with a small 
handheld data collector and you can even wirelessly download data to the PC!
