Operation and Reference

Front Panel

The Z-Max GPS Receiver Module front panel, Figure 2.2, allows you to power on/off
the receiver, monitor basic receiver functions, control many receiver parameters,
configure surveying parameters and collect survey data.

At the top of the front panel are the four tri-colored status LEDs. The LEDs from left to
right are the RTK SOLUTION, COMMUNICATION, Data Log, and the Satellite/Power.
Directly below the LEDs is the front panel display. Below the display are the four
control keys that are used to navigate through the display menu tree. The 2 yellow
keys are the UP arrow and DOWN arrow control keys. The round green key below
the yellow keys is the ENTER control key, and the square red key is the CANCEL
control key. Below the control keys is another green key, the Power ON/OFF key,
which can also be used to reboot and initialize the receiver to factory defaults. Lastly,
below the Power key is a small door that contains the SD memory card slot, and the
USB port.

The functionality of the keys and the LEDs is described below.
