System Guide to Post-process Surveying

module. Using the ledge like a hinge, swing the module closed until the latch on the
Power Module clicks into place.

If the Z-Max System is to collect data unattended for a period of time exceeding the
capability of the Power Module, an external power source can be used. External DC
sources can be plugged in using a cable and the external power port. The external
power cables come in different types for each type of power source used. External
power is applied to the Z-Max GPS Receiver Module by connecting the power source
with a cable (Figure 3.3) to the external power port located on the rear panel of the
GPS Receiver Module. The power port is a sealed 3-pin connector marked 'Power'.
