Although not ideal, the two previous interfering terms are small, and the DVL will still bottom track accu-
rately as long as the bottom echo return amplitude is stronger than these very weak interfering terms.
The following types of interference will have significant effects on accuracy of water profiling and bottom
track, and should cause failures of the Built in Tests. The first image shows Beam 3 at 546 kHz, >20 dB in,
and on beams 1, 2 and 4 in the 2
nd
image. Notice that the filter function is off and you still clearly see that
you have an interference issue, and you can identify the frequency if you Mouse-Over.
