HDO9000 High Definition Oscilloscopes Operator's Manual

Analysis Tools

The Analysis menu tools complement the standard math and measurements to help you understand

the behavior of waveforms.

WaveScan

searches a single acquisition for events that meet specific criteria, enabling you to zoom

in on anomalies in the waveform, or scans multiple acquisitions with allowable trigger actions when

conditions are met. It can also be used to filter measurements.

Pass/Fail Testing

shows whether waveforms or measurements meet a set of defined criteria.

Optional software packages may be purchased for specialized uses, such as power analysis. In most

cases, these options are added to the Analysis menu. Documentation for software options can be

found at

teledynelecroy.com/support/techlib

under Manuals > Software Options. In addition,

documentation for many options available on your platform can be found in the online Help under the

Support menu.

WaveScan

The WaveScan® Search and Find tool enables you to search for unusual events in a single capture, or

to scan for a particular event in many acquisitions over a long period of time. Each

Scan Mode

optimized to find a different type of event. Results are time stamped, tabulated, and can be selected

individually.
