Replacements

Occasionally you may need to replace a broken
or worn out part of the TMA. Any replacements
needed, other than those discussed in this
manual, must be supplied and installed by
qualified TA Instruments service personnel. Call
(302) 427-4050 for service.

Installing a
New Thermocouple

You may find that the need arises for a new
thermocouple (PN 944017.901) as a result of
normal wear and tear, accidental breakage,
contamination of the thermocouple,

etc

.

Before removing the thermocouple, you will
need to take off the TMA balance enclosure, the
stage shield, and the spring clip holding the
thermocouple in place. Then carefully thread the
thermocouple down through the opening in the
platform and unplug it.

To replace the sample thermocouple, follow the
directions found in Chapter 2, Installation.
