Parallel Plate
Rheometer Accessory

Description

The parallel plate rheometer accessory can be
used to obtain viscosity-temperature or vis-
cosity-time data on substances at low shear
rates, over the range of 10 to 10

Pa-sec (1 to 10

Poise).

The parallel plate rheometer accessory kit
contains:

•

Sample-forming die set

•

Parallel plates

•

Alignment cage.

Accessory
Installation

The parallel plate rheometer accessory uses the
macro expansion probe, rheometer sample
holder assembly, and the standard stage.

1. Remove the existing probe as instructed on

page 2-19.

2. Install the standard stage, if it is not already

in place. (For instructions to install the
stage, refer to page 2-14).

3. Install the macro expansion probe in the

same manner as the standard expansion
and penetration probes as instructed on
page 2-18.

4. Change the instrument mode, if needed.
