STEP 7.
With #4132 Handle ro-
tated fully forward, insert “opened”
#1172 Lynch Pin into aligned 3/8” hole
in #413 Handle “arm” and #4131 Link...
close Lynch Pin... see Photo at right.
NOTE:
#1172 Lynch Pin is used as a
“safety device” to keep your Rear Hitch
from falling during travel. When not
needed, close Lynch Pin and slip it
down length of #4132 Handle to store.
STEP 8.
Using liquid soap, lightly
“lubricate” the inside of your #2255
Hand Grip and slip it over forward end
of #4132 Handle... slide it down as far
as it will go.
CAUTION:
Be Aware that the
#2253 Springs can force the
#4132 Handle forward
rapidly
and
forcefully
if you don’t have
the #4132 Handle under
full hand con-
trol
when it’s not “locked” with #1172
Lynch Pin.
STEP 9.
Remove the two (2) #AI
Bolts installed in STEP 4 above.
Locate the two 5/8” holes in
#2259 Drawbar with mating 5/8” holes
in rear of #1693 Bail “channel”. Secure
with two (2) #AI Bolts removed above...
tighten.
NOTE:
For safety, you must have your
#1172 Lynch Pin in place per instruc-
tions in ”CAUTION” notice above.
