STEP 1.
Align the six (6) 3/8”
Holes in #4130 Hitch with mating six (6)
3/8” Holes in
rear surface
of #1601
Body Pan.
From
outside,
insert a #AH Bolt
into each of the six 3/8” holes aligned
above.
Inside
Body, secure Bolts with
#JJ Nuts... tighten... see Photo at right.
STEP 2.
Slip “arms” of #1693
Bail around “sides” of #4130 Hitch
Channel. Connect the “loops” of two (2)
#2253 Springs to the 3/8” holes in “
tab”
of #1680 Hitch and the other end of
each Spring to mating 3/8” holes in
“
plate”
of #1693 Bale.
STEP 3.
Align the
lower
1/2”
holes in #1693 Bail “arms” with mating
5/8” holes in “sides” of #4130 Channel.
NOTE:
Use the
lower
1/2” holes in
#1693 Bail to start with; the other set of
1/2” holes will be useful with any “after
market” attachments you use in the fu-
ture.
From
outside,
insert an #AE Bolt
into each pair of
aligned
1/2” and 5/8”
holes
above
. Over each protruding Bolt
slip on in order: #1701 Bushing, #VV
Washer and secure with #II Nut...
tighten.
STEP 4.
Inside #1693 Bail
chan-
nel,
screw an #AI Bolt into each Nut
welded inside
... let 1/2” protrude out
rearward [You are doing this to store
the #AL Bolts for future use]... see
Photo at right.
