Camera Module Installation
If this part is being replaced, a new part should be used in the place of the old part when the
following steps are being performed.
Tools needed:
*
Style 2A ESD tweezers (Blunt tip)
*
Pry tool
Step-by-Step Instructions
NOTE! If any clips were bent up away from the
walls of the camera socket during the
removal of the camera module, bend those
clips back down against the wall before
proceeding.
1.
Obtain the camera module and make sure there is a
protective film over the camera lens.
2.
Orient the camera module so that that tab located on
one side of the square portion of the camera module
corresponds to the notch in the camera socket.
3.
Gently press the camera module into its camera
socket.
NOTE! “Clicks” are normally heard when the clips
engage.
4.
Visually check whether each of the four clips has
engaged before proceeding.
