Vibrator

4.8.1

Vibrator Removal

•

Perform sections 2.1.1 - 2.1.4 of the Base Disassembly Procedure

Tools needed:

•

Style 3 ESD tweezers

Step-by-Step Instructions

Using style 3 tweezers, grip the rubber bushing
portion of the vibrator and remove the vibrator from
the outer base cover.

NOTE! The vibrator may separate from its rubber

bushing when being removed. If it does,
just reassemble the two parts.

4.8.2

Vibrator Installation

If this part is being replaced, a new part should be used in the place of the old part when the
following steps are being performed.

Tools needed:

Pry tool

Step-by-Step Instructions

NOTE! Be careful not to damage the vibrator

contacts when handling the vibrator.

Position the vibrator in its cavity in the outer base
cover so that the contacts are oriented away from the
outer base cover and the neck on the vibrator is
aligned with the notch in the wall of the vibrator
cavity.

NOTE! Do not press on the vibrator contacts when

inserting the vibrator in its cavity.

Press the vibrator into its cavity so that it is
completely seated.

Perform sections 2.2.1 - 2.2.4 the Base Reassembly procedure.
