Keypad Dome Foil Removal

•

Perform sections 2.1.1 - 2.1.3 of the Base Disassembly Procedure

Tools needed:

•

Pry tool

•

Lint-free wipes

Style 2A ESD tweezers (Blunt tip)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Unplug the keypad switch assembly from its
connection on the circuit board using a pry tool.

Lift the keypad switch assembly off of the circuit
board.

Carefully peel off the dome foil from the keypad
switch assembly

NOTE! Be careful not to damage the flex film to

which the dome foil is adhered.

Clean off any adhesive residue remaining on flex
film portion of the keypad switch assembly using
isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free wipe.
