Step-by-Step Instructions
3.
Use one hand to hold the LCD in its cavity while
performing the following two steps.
NOTE! Before trying to insert the LCD assembly’s
flex film into its connector on the display
flex film, make sure that the retaining bar on
the display flex film’s LCD connection is
rotated towards the LCD assembly’s flex
film so that a 120 degree angle is formed
between the retaining bar and the top of the
connector.

Carefully insert the connection portion of the LCD
assembly into the slot between the tan and black
portions of connector on the display flex film. Push
the LCD’s connection into the connector until it will
not insert any further.
NOTE! Approximately 0.75MM of the gold contact
portion of the LCD connection will be
outside of the connector when the LCD’s
connection to the display flex film is properly
assembled.
5.
Rotate the retaining bar away from the LCD
assembly’s flex film and press it down against the
display flex film until the retaining bar is flush with
the rest of the connector.
6.
Work the portion of the display flex film that contains
the cable connections down onto the display carrier so
that the two carrier alignment pins protrude through
their corresponding holes in the display flex film
assembly.
7.
Rotate the portion of the display flex film where the
navigation key dome foil attaches down onto the LCD
side of the display carrier so that the two carrier
alignment pins protrude through their corresponding
holes in the display flex film assembly.
