Downstream Sensor Sensitivity
A downstream occlusion is a blockage in the tubing between the pump and the patient. The pump contains
a sensor that determines if there is a downstream occlusion. The downstream sensor sensitivity setting
allows you to specify a high or low degree of response to pressure buildup in the downstream tubing.
When a downstream occlusion is detected, an alarm sounds, delivery stops, and the display shows “High
Pressure.”
NOTE:
The downstream sensor is always On.
To set the downstream sensor sensitivity:
1. Make certain the pump is stopped.
2. In the Air and Occlusions Settings menu, press
