14.11.12 Allowing acquisition of machine usage information
Select whether to allow us to acquire log data pertaining to the machine usage.
If log acquisition is allowed, the logging process starts immediately, which makes it useful if you need to ana-
lyze the cause of a problem that may occur later on this machine or to improve the product quality.
The screen to confirm whether to allow log acquisition is displayed when:
- The administrator password has been changed by selecting [Security] - [Administrator Password Set-
ting] in the administrator mode;
- Registration information has been edited by selecting [System Settings] - [Machine Setting] in the ad-
ministrator mode; or
-
The user has logged in to the administrator mode while the number of copies exceeded 100.
14.11.13 Checking whether there are sub folders when searching for an SMB sharing
folder
Specify whether to check if there are sub folders when this machine searches for an SMB sharing folder on
the network.
If you select the option that does not check whether there are sub folders, it speeds up processing to search
for an SMB sharing folder.
When not checking whether there are sub folders, select [Network] - [SMB Setting] - [SMB Browsing setting]
in the administrator mode, then set [SMB Browsing setting] to [Disable Sub search] (Default: [Disable Sub
search]).
Settings Description
[Allow] Tap this button to start log acquisition. Once this option is selected, the screen
will no longer be displayed.
[Restrict] Tap this button to not acquire log data. Once this option is selected, the screen
will no longer be displayed.
[Confirm Later] Tap this button to display the screen again the next time the conditions are sat-
isfied.
