Switch Clustering

◆

Set a Cluster IP Pool that does not conflict with addresses in the network 
IP subnet. Cluster IP addresses are assigned to switches when they 
become Members and are used for communication between Member 
switches and the Commander.

◆

You cannot change the cluster IP pool when the switch is currently in 
Commander mode. Commander mode must first be disabled.

Example

Console(config)#cluster ip-pool 10.2.3.4
Console(config)#

cluster member

This command configures a Candidate switch as a cluster Member. Use the 

no

 form to remove a Member switch from the cluster.

 - The MAC address of the Candidate switch.

 - The ID number to assign to the Member switch. 

(Range: 1-36)
