6. OTHER FUNCTIONS
In this machine, the following functions can be set with OSD
6-1. EDID FUNCTION
6-2. MODEL NAME SETTING FUNCTION
6-3. SERIAL NUMBER SETTING FUNCTION
6-4. USAGE TIME SETTING FUNCTION
6-5. SYSTEM LOG AND TEMPERATURE LOG INITIALIZATION
6-6. SYSTEM LOG AND TEMPERATURE LOG PRESERVATION TO USB FLASH DRIVE
6-7. USER SETTING VALUE PRESERVATION TO USB FLASH DRIVE
6 – 1. EDID UPDATE
The EDID data is included into the main firmware, however, the
EDID data is not updated by the firmware update procedure.
When the EDID data is released, perform this procedure while
updating the main firmware.
<CAUTION>
Don't connect image cable at the time of EDID data writing.
Writing may not be performed normally.
1) Press [ENTER] button in [EDID UPDATE] of SERVICE MENU2.
Since the following screen is displayed, cursor is united with
[YES] and press [ENTER] button.
The following OSD is displayed when the newest data is written
in. In this case, there is no necessity for the writing of EDID.
2) When the following OSD is displayed, it is necessary to write in
EDID data. Cursor is united with [Yes] and the [ENTER] button
is pushed.
3) If writing is successful, it will return to SERVICE MENU.
The following OSD is displayed when writing goes wrong.
It checks that the image cable is not connected and writes in
again.
6 – 2. MODEL NAME SETTING FUNCTION
1) Display SERVICE MENU 3.
2) Select "MODEL NAME SETTING" by using [VOL + (
)], [VOL -
(
↓
)] keys, and press [ENTER] key.
The screen of MODEL NAME SETTING is displayed
3) By using [BRIGHT - (
)],[ (
)] buttons, move the
cursor to the column which you want to change, and then
change the figure by [VOL + (
)], [VOL - (
↓
)] buttons.
<CAUTION>
*During the change procedure, do not close the window by
pressing [INPUT/RETURN] key. If the window is forcefully closed
halfway through the procedure due to power shut-off or signal
change etc., the figures being changed won't be written.
4) When the change has been completed, press [ENTER] button.
The changed figures are written, and then the screen returns to
SERVICE MENU 3. If “RETURN” is pushed, the changed
figures won't be written.
(MEMO)
*The tailing blank columns are trimmed when the figures are
written.
Meanwhile, the blank columns among the figures are written as
spaces.
5) Turn off the main power switch.
<CAUTION>
It is not possible to access to the USB flash drive until the main
power is turned OFF and ON.
