Round-Robin
Trunk group finds idle channel in sequence. By remembering the previously
selected channel, follow the sequence when finding channel afterwards.
This method meets channel load balance between trunk group elements.
With optional parameter, it is possible to change to find either channels or the
even, odd channel in either ascending or descending order.
Suppose ‘
hunt-scheme round-robin both up
’
is enabled. Trunk group A is
searched first because it has the highest preference. The search looks for an
either-numbered idle channel in ascending series in A. If one is available, that
channel is used for the call routing. A new idle channel request would start
with B, which has the next highest precedence value.
If A does not have an available both-numbered channel, the search tries to find
an channel in the next highest trunk group member, which is B. If successful,

If B does not have any available both-numbered channel, the search tries to
find an channel in the next highest trunk group member, which is C. If
successful, that channel is used for the call routing. A new idle channel request

Sequential
Regardless of the previously selected channel, it is similar to the round-robin
method except the fact it finds the empty channel from the beginning part.
Suppose ‘
hunt-scheme sequential even down
’ is enabled. Trunk group
member A is searched first because it has the highest precedence value. The
search checks A’s channel in descending order for an even-numbered available
channel. If successful, that channel is used for the call routing. The next idle
channel request starts its search with A.
If A does not have an available even-numbered channel, the search tries to find
an even-numbered channel in the next highest trunk group member, which is
B. If successful, that channel is used for the call routing. A new idle channel
request would start with A.
If B does not have any available even-numbered channels, the search tries to
find an even-numbered channel in the next highest trunk group member,
which is C. If successful, that channel is used for the call routing. A new idle
channel request would start with A.
