Configuring Fax Relay with VoIP
Restrictions for Configuring Fax Relay with VoIP
The following constraints exists for the fax relay under VoIP environment.

The codec (G.711-alaw or G.711-ulaw) specified in Pass-through(High-
bandwidth codec) should also exist in the codec list of the relevant VoIP
dial-peer.
y
T.38 fallback function is supported only in H.323.
How to use high-bandwidth codec as Fax Relay with VoIP
There are 2 methods of setting the fax relay using High-bandwidth
codec(G.711-alaw or G.711-ulaw), and the setting in ‘VoIP dial-peer
configuration’ mode has a priority over the setting in ‘voice-service
configuration’ mode.
