This procedure is much like the same as the configuration of E1 trunk.
Step
Command
Purpose

show voice card all
List all the voice cards installed in the system.
If you find any of the WTE_XX card you can
choose the one to use a T1 trunks card.

show module
configuration all
Displays all the digital trunk active in the system.
So if you use this command it helps you to
recognize the carrier-types of the trunks installed in
the system.

configure terminal
Enter the global configuration mode to advance the
T1 setting.

system carrier-type
slot #
t1
Input the
slot#
which is qualified to be T1 trunk
card.
And if the previous carrier-type of the slot is
configured T1, rebooting is not required. Otherwise
the system will prompt you to reboot the system for
the change to take effect.

trunk#
Specify the T1 trunk that you want to configure
physical layer settings.
trunk#
is a simple notation of
slot/sub-slot/port,
for
convenience.

clock_source
{ internal | line }
Configures the clock source.
line-Specifies that the clock-facility on this port
derives clocking from the external source to which
the port is connected(generally the CO).
internal-(Optional) Specifies that the clock is generated
from the voice card’s internal clock-facility.
8 framing
{
esf | d4 }
Selects frame type for T1 or E1 line.
esf-Extended super frame framing format for T1.
d4-Super frame framing format for T1
disable-Disables E1 framer.

linecode { b8zs | ami } Specifies the line encoding to use.
The keywords are as follows:
ami-Specifies the alternate mark inversion(AMI)
line code type.(T1 and E1)
b8zs-Specifies the binary 8 zero substitution line
code type.(T1)
