If a Ubigate iBG2016 runs in a gateway mode, a Ubigate iBG2016 performs a
general GK registration procedure using RRQ, a gatekeeper identifies the
Ubigate iBG2016 as a gateway to be managed in a zone, and a Ubigate
iBG2016 provides the H.323 Gateway characteristics necessary for default
call signaling.
H.323 Direct Mode
Direct mode enables call processing without H.323 registration. It is used
when signaling is performed directly among gateways without passing
through a gatekeeper.
Support of PSTN Signaling
Ubigate iBG2016 acts as a VoIP Gateway to interconnect between legacy
PSTN and VoIP network. To seamless interwork with PSTN, Ubigate
iBG2016 support various PSTN signalings that have been used for several
decades.
