Trunk Group Management
Introduction
Trunk group is the logical group of interface having the same signal type.
Thus, even though a single channel is in operation or in failure call is made
through other channels. The type of signal type is as follows.
y
T1/E1 DS-0 Group(FXS, FXO, E & M, DID, R2 digital/pulse/analog)
y
FXS, FXO, E&M, and DID analog voice ports:
Trunk group can be designated with target of POTS outgoing dial peer and it
is possible to designate it up to 12. Creating trunk group is possible up to 100.
By using ‘
translation-profile
’ trunk group command in trunk group, changing
calling and called number is possible in designating translation profile.
By designating ‘
Max-calls
’ trunk group command, users can limit the number
of call made possible with the pertinent trunk group in terms of in and out.
By using ‘
Block
’ trunk group command, call to the pertinent trunk group is
possible to prevent.
Multiple Trunk Group
Designating trunk group as target up to 12 in POTS dial peer is possible.
Dial peer decreases the number of dial-peer desired to configure by having
more than a single target.
Find the empty channel among the various trunk groups while the request of
call set against outbound call is being made. Trunk group is searched in
sequence according to the priority. If finding the empty channel in trunk group
with priority is impossible, find it in the trunk group of following sequence.
When finding the empty channel takes place, the pertinent trunk group is used
for outbound call.
The following example shows the one selecting trunk group.
