Digit Manipulation
The Ubigate iBG2016 system provides digit manipulation function in a dial
string before it passes the dial string to the telephony device.
Digits Stripping and Prefixes
Digits stripping and prefixes function provides digits deletion or insertion
before sending outbound POTS peer.
For digits stringpping, the Ubigate iBG2016 system strips off the left-justified
digits that explicitly match the destination pattern when the Ubigate iBG2016
system matches a dial string to an outbound POTS dial peer
For prefixes, the Ubigate iBG2016 system may add specific digits to the front
of the dialed string before it is forwarded to the telephony interface.
Forward Digits
The Ubigate iBG2016 system defines the number of digits and then forward to
the telephony interface. The Ubigate iBG2016 system controls the number of
digits that are stripped before the dialed string is passed to the telephony
interface.
Digit Translation
Digit translation rules are used to manipulate the calling number(ANI) or
called number(DNIS) digits for a voice call, or to change the numbering type
of a call.
Translation rules are used to convert a telephone number into a different
number before the call is matched to an inbound dial peer or before the call is
forwarded by the outbound dial peer.
Call Block
The Ubigate iBG2016 system provides call-blocking function based on calling
or called number.
Call Admission Control (CAC)
Voice CAC is one of techniques, which is used to maintain reasonable voice
quality. For real-time delay-sensitive traffic such as voice, it is better to deny
network access under congestion conditions than to allow traffic onto the
network to be dropped and delayed.
CAC is a deterministic and informed decision that is made before a voice call
is established and is based on whether the required network resources are
available to provide suitable QoS for the new call.
