down arrow to the right to see them all or keep typing until there is
j ust one match. When you’ve found who you need, tap the green
dial button to make a call or the video call button instead.
Logs and Favourites
Y our Galaxy remembers who you have called
and it is easy to see this information. If you ever
need to refer to your call history,
j ust hit the
L ogs tab along the top of the P hone app. On
the L ogs screen you can see how many times
you’ve made and received calls to and from
a number, and tapping a number gives you
even more details, as well as a shortcut to their
C ontacts page and some dial buttons.
M eanwhile, you can set up your favourite people in the C ontacts
app and get to these by tapping the F avourites button. Y ou could
use this for your closest friends and family so that reaching them is
only ever a couple of screen taps away.
Call settings
When you are in the P hone app, tap on the M enu button beneath
the device’s screen area to bring up options including C all settings.
Tap that and you’ll be able to set up a wide range of di ff erent
options that help you personalise how you make and take calls.
There are some really useful options here. Turning the screen o ff
during calls is great if you spend time in places where the screen
might irritate other people, like cinemas.
Y ou can set di ff erent ways
to answer and end calls too – perhaps you prefer using the P ower
button to end a call, for example. There’s a useful setting that gets
your Galaxy to raise its ringtone volume when it is in your pocket or
bag, so you stand a better chance of hearing it in crowded places.

enable the speakerphone.

use the extra volume button.
