and Google P lay are compatible with C hromecast , so your best bet
is to download some and simply look around for the trusted C ast
icon. Once you’re finished casting the video on your TV, j ust press
the C ast icon again and the stream will stop , with the video then
loading on your Galaxy device.
Cast your tunes
Another area in which the C hromecast
service works a treat is with streaming
music. T he predominant app you can
use for this is Google P lay music , which
includes a C ast icon at the top of the P lay
M usic app. Any song can be sent across
to your TV and users can even create
playlists of songs to stream. Once you’ve
sent a song across , your Samsung Galaxy
will be turned into a virtual remote ,
where you can control volume levels and
skip through certain songs. E ven better ,
you can stream podcasts and live music feeds through a wealth of
apps available for all Galaxy users.
Working from home
If you’re looking for a solution to working from home , C hromecast
has it covered. Y ou can cast files , documents and work pro j ects
directly to your TV with a bunch of C hromecast - enabled apps.
T hese include the likes of Google Drive , Dropbox and SugarSync. If
you then connect a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to your Galaxy
device , you can work completely on your TV . With all your created
documents , you can use any of the compatible cloud storage
accounts to save and share your files with fellow work colleagues.

1 Device Download and open
the C hromecast app , then select
Devices from the side menu.
Set up Chromecast
2 Input name Add a name to
the C hromecast and input Wi -F i
details on the Settings screen.
3 Connect Y our C hromecast
will connect to your Wi -F i and
confirm once complete.
4 Explore Select Settings from
the side menu and edit the time ,
date and other information.
