The changer was not shut down because the count from the hopper was not satisfied
within 180 seconds. One bucket will have incorrect change.
Is the hopper empty or low on coins?
Reload the bill changer.
Press the FUNCTION button.
Leave the hopper out. TEST VEND one
denomination that will dispense at least
one coin from the hopper. Does the
motor run properly?
If the problem recurs, exchange
hoppers. If the problem stays with the
hopper, replace the hopper. If the
problem remains with the same hopper
position, replace the CCC.
Check the hopper for poor coin pickup.
The most likely causes are dirt buildup in
the coin path or worn parts. Also check
for a jammed hopper.

Replace the photodetector
assembly with the part indicated
in the Parts Catalog.
The CCC board may have a
shorted coin detector input.
Replace the CCC.

Since all three hoppers must appear empty before the bill
changer shuts down, this message (
HOPPERS EMPTY
)
does not indicate any one particular hopper. Check all
three hoppers for the conditions indicated in this chart.
NOTE:
Make sure the change load in the buckets is correct
before restoring the machine to service.
