7. PRINTING SECTION
7.1 ADJUSTING THE CLEARANCE OF THE PAPER
DETECTING ARM
Purpose: To ensure that printing pressure is applied during paper feed, and
is released correctly afterwards.
Adjustment Standard: 0.2 to 0.4 mm
1. Remove the rear cover of the machine.
2. Using a 10 mm spanner, gradually turn the drum rotation shaft
counterclockwise to position the bearing of the pressure release arm [B]
on the top of the pressure cam [A].
3. Make sure that the clearance between the paper detecting arm [C] and
the pressure release arm [B] is 0.2 to 0.4 mm.
4. If it is not, loosen the screws [D] and adjust the clearance by shifting the
paper detecting bracket [E] up or down.
5. After adjusting, confirm that the printing pressure ON/OFF mechanism is
working properly. To do this, monitor a print run.
