Adjustment C: For Semi-rough Paper
C-1. Create a custom paper entry for the paper in use.

From the list of “Plain_Mid-roughness_Wt.1-8” create an entry according to the
weight of the paper. If the paper already exists in the Paper Library, use that
entry.

For black or color paper, make the following settings in Advanced Settings:

C-2. Set the paper transfer current (belt-to-paper PTR DC bias) in the Advanced Settings
below according to the print mode; simplex or duplex, BW or FC or FCS or S, as
follows:
1) First, set the value to “0” and check the print quality. If acceptable, stop the
procedure. If unacceptable, continue.
2) Set the value to “5.” Again, stop or continue depending on the results.
3) Set the value to “10.” No further adjustments available. Stop the procedure by
applying the setting that produced the best results.
