This bulletin introduces the troubleshooting guideline how and how much we can decrease
the fusing temperature against high glossy image compared to the previous model.
Symptom
The gloss level of solid images is higher than the predecessor.
Cause
The characteristic of toner has changed from the predecessor.
Procedure
This procedure is supposed to be performed especially on matt-coated media. Less
positive effect can be expected on plain and gloss-coated media but skip 2 and 3 in case
you need to follow this on such a paper.
1.
Register either a generic matt-coated entry or a brand media’s entry from the master
library for the media in use.
2.
Decrease the fusing temperature #1232-xx (Fusing temperature : Heat roller Temp)
by 10 degrees (Wt.1 to 4) or 15 degrees (Wt.5 to 9).
Depending on the customer job, select the proper #1232.
Use the following table to find the proper #1232.
